Venturing out

Have you been surprised lately?
I mean like really surprised, not "jack in the box" surprised..
As in you dint really think about something and it happened.. or somebody said something u never thought they could say.. or u enjoyed doing something you thought you will never do.

It is good to keep surprising yourself now and then. Even if you do it just for the heck of it.  It makes you tread into the unknown.
Outside the perimeter of your comfort zone, none of your age old wisdoms work, none of your derived theories hold.
It is here that you learn and form experiences to take back to your comfort zone.
It is here that you realise how things are not binary, that there is no other color but grey and there is nothing absolute.

You will constantly surprise yourself, you will find new strengths within you, you will start understanding yourself; and when you think that you have finally gotten to the core of who you are and what you can do.... Step out further, because your comfort zone has stretched.

I advise you to stop doing this at the age of 45, when everyone should retire and live happily ever after :D

  1. Awesome post. We'll probably want to keep stretching comfort zones far into the future. Why set an age limit? ;) The less we pressure ourselves to conform to some norm, the freer we feel and the more we learn about ourselves :)
