I will come out and say it; I was having a good day and then i was not.
I wanted to buy a gift for someone, and i was told not to buy it, because it was not good enough.
It was a piece of artificial jewellery that i wanted to gift my brother's intended, and i was asked not to bring artificial jewellery, because it might upset people in the family.
Its not just that its hurtful to know that you can let your family down just by being yourself, its just that they completely overlooked the fact that i wanted to buy her a gift!
